sɲikázu comes from the Hellenistic verb sinikázo ‘to reckon in’ (Ralli 2017). It has undergone a change in meaning. Ιn some villages, it also means ‘to realize’ (Papanis & Papanis 2004).
E.g. éfaʝis kalá? sɲíkasis?
éfaʝes kalá? siníkases?
‘Did you eat well? Do you feel full (of food)?’
