ðʝanutó (also ðʝanutév(γ)u ‘to advise’) comes from the preposition ðiá ‘to’ and the verb enotízo ‘put on the ear’. It expresses indifference and contempt for advice (Papanis & Papanis 2004).

E.g. pulimó na tu ðʝanutísu/ðʝanutépsu tútu tu muró.
polemó na to ðʝanutíso/ðʝanutépso túto to moró.
‘I try to advise this child’.
